Enza Fox

Enza Fox, Johnson City, died Monday, October 28, 2019, at his residence following a brief illness. Enza was a native of Burnsville, NC, and had been a resident of Johnson City for most of his life. He was a son of the late John Wesley and Pearl Barnett Fox. Enza was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired from East Tennessee State University following thirty-two years of service, where he was Supervisor over the Power House. Enza was a member of College Park Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, Enza was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years and love of his life, Carol Hughes Fox, in 2010, one brother and four sisters. Following Carol’s death, he continued to be a rock for his family for more than nine years. Enza was able to see both of his grandsons get married and meet his three great-grandsons. He is survived by his son, Chris Fox and wife Ginger, Johnson City; his daughter, Lisa Andes and husband David, Johnson City; two grandsons, Brandon Fox and wife Billie, Cody Fox and wife Victoria, all of Johnson City; three great-grandsons, Blake, Trevor and Tanner Fox, all of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at 7:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Pastors Jerry Cannon and Nathan Jennings, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home, and other times at his Chis Fox’s house. The graveside committal service will be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
