Shopping at Food CityI was maybe around 16 or 17 when I met Zola. Her son Michael and her would come in multiple times a week to gricer shop in Food City. Zola was such a kind lady. She would go around and introduce herself, say how old she was, and then ask our names. She was hilarious too. Took a while for them to shop because she had talked to every worker before checking out. I will also never forget seeing her at the hospital and the guy was talking to her about her Oxygen tank. He told her he was going to come over. Her response was "You come over anytime. My address is ***. You are welcome over." She will definitely be missed.
3-2-16 I just saw the obituary notice in the JC Press website today. I am so sorry I did not know in time to come to the funeral service. Zee was a sweet wonderful person that I loved very much. I had not seen her in a while because I lost her address and the phone number I had did not work anymore. She used to call me just to see how I was doing. I used to see her and Michael at Mize. This dear sweet wonderful lady will be greatly missed. We know Heaven has an awesome new angel. I am happy for her. She is in the Perfect Place.
dear john and dana. I am so sorry that all this has happened and I missed being able to see you all and share in Z's life with our combined memories. I was very fond of Z and regretted not keeping in touch with her. It is one of my bad habits to loose touch with people I care about. I would love to hear from you both so you could fill me in, that is if you would care to. Please let me know and again I am sorry about her passing and I know I do not have to worry about her. She is in heaven now as I type this. Send me a phone number if you would like to visit/talk. Tks and the Lord bless you.
