Zoe B. Shipley, 17, Jonesborough, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at the Johnson City Medical Center, following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.Zoe was born in Johnson City and was a lifelong Washington County resident.Although she completed her high school curriculum in December, Zoe was to be a 2019 graduate of David Crockett High School, where she played volleyball and was a member of Civinettes, the French Club and H.O.S.A. Zoe began her freshman year at E.T.S.U. in January where she was studying to be a Forensic Psychologist.She was employed with Ingle’s where she was the assistant manager of the Starbuck’s at the Boones Creek location.Zoe was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Jonesborough.She was preceded in death by an aunt, Melissa Shipley Slagle.Zoe is survived by her parents, Lisa Shipley, Jonesborough, and Bryan Shipley, Jonesborough; maternal grandfather, James Dotson, Jonesborough; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Hartley, Elizabethton; paternal grandparents, Baxter and Jewel Shipley, Johnson City; aunts & uncles, Tammy Morris, Scott Dotson, Debbie and Dave Hatcher, Robert and Laura Shipley; cousins, Trey and Rachel Hatcher, Ty and Sara Shipley, Jessica, Sal, Rylie and Ava Delavega.Following her death, Zoe’s choice to be an organ donor has blessed the lives of six families whom she had never met, by saving the lives of six people, therefore her legacy will live on!Zoe’s family invites you to join them in Celebrating Her Life on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at 6:00 P.M., at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, 104 Cherry Grove Rd., Jonesborough, TN 37659. Rev. Scott Hayes will officiate. The service will conclude outside the front of the church where the family will lead a balloon release.The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 3:00-6:00 P.M. at the church.In-lieu-of flowers, donations in Zoe’s name may be made to the Washington County Johnson City Animal Shelter, 3411 N.
