Wanda Presnell

Wanda Presnell, 68, Johnson city, died Friday, April 10, 2020, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, following a brief illness. Wanda was a native of Johnson city, where she lived most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Alfred Babb and Bessie Ann Tucker Babb McGuire. Wanda was a homemaker and loved sewing, camping and fishing. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie and Marvin Babb. She is survived by four sons, Frankie Lane, Clifton, TN, Scottie Lane and wife Anna, Jonesborough, Mark Lane, Jessie Lane and wife Hazel, all of Johnson City; her sister, Verna Fulwiler and husband Bobby, Johnson city; seven grandchildren, Jessica Lane, Shammie Lane, Samantha Lane, Amanda Lane, Dwayne Lane, Brent Richardson and Adam Holmes; three great-grandchildren, Savannah, Aliyah and Elissa; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special “thank you” to Hazel Lane for taking care of our mother for over twenty years. Wanda thought of Hazel as a daughter and loved her like her own child. Due to the current restrictions on public gatherings, services for Wanda will be privately held Thursday at Appalachian Funeral Home and Washington County Memory Gardens.Read Obituary
