Virginia Caroline Gourley

Virginia Caroline Gourley, age 87, formerly of Rockhouse Rd, Johnson City, passed away January 9, 2018 at Four Oaks Healthcare, Jonesborough, Tennessee. Virginia was a Washington County native and was born January 17, 1930. She was the only daughter of the late Eldridge B. Cox and Vivian Maloney Cox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gourley in 1999; step-father, Elmer Brand and an infant half-sister, Deborah A. Cox. Virginia was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, Johnson City. Survivors include an aunt, Vonda Maloney Wilhoit and several cousins also survive. The committal service and entombment for Mrs. Gourley will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 A.M.
