Tommy Edward Boyd

Tommy Edward Boyd, 75, Jonesborough, died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at his residence, after a lengthy illness.Tommy was lifetime resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Paul and Frances Clark Boyd.He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. Tommy was a master carpenter working in construction. He was a TN Vols fan. Tommy loved getting together with his family for big meals, especially his grandson who he adored.In addition to his parents Tommy was preceded in death by 2 brothers. Survivors include his sons, Chris Boyd and wife Robin, and Mark Boyd; step-son, Michael Santos; grandson, Tyler Boyd; sister, Joyce Gillette; several nieces and nephews.The funeral service for Tommy will be held Monday, November 8, 2021 at 6:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of First Apostolic Church, 123 Emmanuel Dr. Johnson City, TN 37601 with Rev. Lewy Cornett and Rev. Edward Davis, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 5:00-6:00 P.M.A private graveside committal service will be held at Ledford Cemetery, Montezuma Newland, NC at a later date.In-lieu-of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Washington County Animal Shelter, 3411 N.
