Mamaw Sue Tester, age 57, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018 following a sudden illness. A lifelong resident of Johnson City, she was a daughter of the late Troy Jack and Helen Louise Dale Whistine. Mrs. Tester loved children and was considered Mamaw to all of the neighborhood kids. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by everyone that knew her.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tabitha Tester; two sisters; and three brothers.Survivors include a son, Gary Tester and wife Kristin Winegar-Tester, Kingsport; special daughter, April Lawson; three grandchildren, Daniel, Lucas , and Brionah Tester; great grandchild, Audrey Tester; one sister, Ginny McGee, Johnson City; three brothers, TeeRoy Whistine and wife Lena, Johnson City, Pete Whistine, and wife Debbie, Johnson City, and Phil Whistine and wife Shirley, Ohio; sister-in-law, Gail Whistine, Jonesborough; special sisters, Flor, Bobbie and Trina. We met when you moved into Carver and Gary and Tabby were kids. We have been friends ever since then. I know you are flying high with your daughter now and no longer are suffering. Adi bear says she loves you and to be careful flying around. We will miss you Sue. Fly high beautiful angel.

Still can't believe u are gone but I'm glad u didn't suffer. U will be .missed but never forgotten. U were a great friend that was there for us when. No one was an I'll never forget u an your kindness. Going to Myrtle Ave will NEVER BE THE SAME! I LOVE U MAMAW SUE!
