Sharon Kay (Weaver) Owens

Sharon Owens, 60, Gray, died Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, following a lengthy illness.Sharon was a native of Newton, MA, and had been a Washington County resident for most of her life.She was a daughter of the late Robert Vernon and Beatrice Irene Delaney Weaver.Sharon was a homemaker.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Russell Weaver.Sharon is survived by her husband of forty-two years, Harold Owens; her daughter, Brandie Killen and wife Tammy, Boones Creek; her sister, Pam Hendrix and husband Alan, Johnson City; sister-in-law, Becky Weaver, Gray; nieces and nephew, Sharon Greer, Chris Weaver and Hannah Hendrix.The graveside memorial service will be held Monday, December 10, 2018, at 1:00 P.M. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery Annex. Those planning to attend are to meet at the Annex by 12:45 P.M.The family will receive friends and share memories of Sharon on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 P.M., in the East Parlor of Appalachian Funeral Home.Read Obituary
