Sandra (Coleman) Ward

Sandra Coleman Ward, age 76, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.  A native of Erwin, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late David and Billie Marion Coleman.  Mrs. Ward was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  She was a homemaker and previously attended Guiding Light Church, Johnson City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Ward.Survivors include her husband, John “J.R.” Ward; son, Bradley Scott Ward; brother, Ronald F. Coleman, all of Johnson City; sister, Sally Carter Sentell, Knoxville, TN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.The memorial service for Mrs. Ward will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Dewey Ward officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 3:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.  Private disposition will be held at a later date.  Please click here to view the video tributeRead Obituary
