Rozella M McNeese

Rozella M. McNeese, 96, Jonesborough, died Sunday, June 7, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, at the home of her daughter, following a brief illness. Rozella was a native and lifelong resident of Jonesborough. She was a daughter of the late N.M. and Bertha Brown Bailey. Rozella was a retired Sales Associate, working for several businesses including The Gift Shop at the Johnson City Medical Center, Lerner’s in the Mall at Johnson City and was formerly the Manager at Kress’s. She was lifelong member of Jackson Park Church of the Brethren, and at the time of her death, was the oldest member. In addition to her parents, Rozella was preceded in death by her husband, Warren McNeese, in 1988, her sister, Grethel McNeese, and a grandson, Dennis McKee. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca McKee and husband Jeff, Jonesborough; her granddaughter, Heather Myers and husband Sabastian, Jonesborough; two great-grandsons, Charlie Waddle and Caedon Myers, both of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews. The graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 11:00 A.M., in East Tennessee Cemetery, Blountvillle, with Pastor Jeremy Dykes, officiating. Active pallbearers will be Sabastian Myers, Jim, Larry and Jerry McNeese. Honorary pallbearers are Jeff McKee and Charlie Waddle. Those planning to attend are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M. Wednesday. The family requests that in lieu-of-flowers, memorial be made to Jackson Park Church of the Brethren Building Fund, 100 Oak Grove Ave., Jonesborough, TN 37659.
