Robert "Bud" Leroy Chandler

Robert "Bud" Chandler, age 76, of Johnson City, TN, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A lifelong native of Washington County, TN, he was the son of the late Roy and Ollie Buckingham Chandler. Mr. Chandler was a member of East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church. He retired from Snyder's Signs, and after retirement he worked at Tri-cities Christian School. In addition to his parents, Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his sister, Letha Chandler; daughter, Donna Chandler; and a step-daughter, Stephanie LeVere. Survivors include his wife, Nicki Berbert Chandler, of the home; two sons, Robert Chandler and Mike Chandler, both of Johnson City; daughter Elisa Britt and husband, Ronnie, Johnson City; step-son, Ronnie Dale Johnson and wife Elaine, Ohio; step-daughter, Kristina Johnson, Johnson City; step-son, Shaun Berbert and wife April, Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Ruth Hopkins, Johnson City; mother-in-law, Kathleen Billlups, Ohio. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. The graveside service for Mr. Chandler will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Rev. Lon Tobin officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to East Pine Grove Park United Methodist Church, 2215 E. Unaka Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601.
