Louise B. Giles, 87 of Jonesborough, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Cranberry, NC and the daughter of the late Ralph and Rexie Hughes Brown. Louise was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband James Robert "Jay" Giles, sisters, Mary Frances Poarch, Eula Mae Hurt, and brother Ralph Brown, Jr. Those left to cherish Louises memory are her children James R. Giles of Jonesborough, Sue and Danny Hyduk of Jonesborough, Pat Giles of the home, Sherry and Mike Bolden of Jonesborough, Cindy and Rocky Croy of Watauga; Brothers Earl and Glen Brown. 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The family sends a special thank you to the 2500 nursing staff of JCMC, especially Chelsey Brubank and Jordan Bruni for giving our mother love and comfort as well as her therapists Denise and Chris. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 2PM in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Hurt officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12PM until service time. Burial will follow in Monte Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Cindy, I don't know if you remember me? We went to school together in Elementary and High School. I had to leave my deepest condolences at the loss of your mother. I can't think of anything much more difficult. I lost mine 4 years ago and it's still one day at a time. Thinking of you and your family. Love, Dorothy
