Randy Lynn Sparks

After a brief illness Randy Lynn Sparks, 52, went home to be with Lord, Wednesday, November 13,2019 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Thomas Frank Sparks and Peggy Sparks Fulwiler. Randy is survived by a son, Thomas Allen Sparks; grandson, Noah Sparks; sister, Kathy Sparks Whaley; niece, Jessie Whaley; a very special cousin, Robbie Phillips and cousin Tammy Phillips Holsclaw; special aunt, Bonnie Campbell; special friend, Tina Ward; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.He was a lifelong resident of Johnson City. Randy enjoyed spending time with his grandson and loved football, especially the Pittsburg Steelers. Randy was loved by everyone and he will be dearly missed.A Celebration of life service will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 17, 2019, in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Phillips and Robbie Phillips, officiating. The committal graveside service will follow in Edens-Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.In-lieu-of flowers contributions can be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
