Ralph Rankin Kiser, 64, Johnson City, died Tuesday, August 13, 2019, unexpectedly, at his residence.Ralph was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. He was a son of the late Samuel Hugh Kiser, Jr. and Mary Dellinger Kiser McKinnon.Ralph was a 1973 graduate of Science Hill High School and an All-State basketball player, who continued to follow Science Hill sports. He attended E.T.S.U., and received his Bachelor Degree in Organizational Management from Milligan College.Ralph worked as a Senior Construction Representative with Beeson, Lusk & Street Inc. and since January 1, 2019 with Beeson, Lusk & Street/Thompson & Litton Inc.He enjoyed working with stained glass, playing golf, and spending time with his dog Bogie.Ralph is survived by his son, Chadwick L. Kiser and wife Kristin, Castle Rock, CO; his daughter, Shelley R. Kiser, Chengdu, China; two grandchildren, Lilah and Harbor Kiser, Castle Rock; his brother, Samuel Hugh Kiser, III, and wife Debra, Abingdon, VA., step-brother, John B. McKinnon, III, and wife Terry, Johnson City; step-sister, Karen June McKinnon Stewart and husband Ted, Jefferson, GA.The memorial service for Ralph will be held Thursday, August 22, 2019, at 7:00 P.M., in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home.The family will receive friends prior to the service Thursday from 6:00-7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.The family requests those who prefer to make memorial donations in-lieu-of flowers, please do so to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation, 110 E. 42nd St. 16th Floor, New York, NY 10017.Read Obituary

I am so sorry for your loss! Your family is in my prayers. Ralph was loved by the SHHS Class of '73 and will be deeply missed. Thankful to have spent time with him last year at our 45th reunion.
