Patricia "Trish" Gillette

Patricia "Trish" Gillette, 68, Johnson City, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 10, 2016, unexpectedly, at her residence. Trish was a native of Erwin, where she resided until moving to Johnson City in 1993. She was the daughter of the late Stewart and Virginia Mauk Johnson. Trish was a 1965 graduate of Unicoi County High School. She was formerly employed with First Security Bank, Erwin, as a loan officer, and later with Johnson City Insurance Co., as an insurance agent. Trish was a member of First Christian Church, Erwin, until transferring her membership to Pinecrest Baptist Church, Johnson City, in 2003. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Gillette, of the home; her two children, Todd M. Rice and wife Christi, Knoxville, and Heather M. Rice, Johnson City; her grandson, Alex Rice, Knoxville; her brother, Stewart Johnson, FL; two step-children, Jennifer Gillette, Newport, and J.D. Gillette and his son Liam, both of Gray; her former husband and father of her children, Frank Rice, Jr., Erwin; and her dearest friend, Joyce Peterson. The memorial service for Trish will be held Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 3:00 P.M., at Pinecrest Baptist Church, 2129 Old Lewis Rd, Johnson City, TN 37601, with Rev. Mike Richards, officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 P.M. at the church.
