Jane Broglin Gaby, 95, Knoxville, died Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Gaby was a native of Dayton, OH, was a former longtime resident of Johnson City and a former resident of Morristown before moving to Knoxville. She was a daughter of the late Charles Robert and Charline Bazell Broglin. Mrs. Gaby was a Homemaker. She was a former member of Central Baptist Church, Johnson City, where she was a longtime member of the Ambers Wilson Sunday School Class and a Sunday school teacher of the 2 Year Old class for over thirty-two years. She was a member of the Christian Women's Club and a longtime Civinette. Mrs. Gaby later transferred her membership to Manley Baptist Church, Morristown. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaby was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harrison B. Gaby, in 2004, and a sister Peggie Broglin. She is survived by her daughter, Lou Ann Gaby, Knoxville; a sister, Millie Pippin, Maryville; two grandsons, Eric Reason and wife Jennifer, Nashville, and Wesley Reason, Morristown; two great-grandchildren, Addie and Eli Reason, Nashville; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., from the Sanctuary of Central Baptist Church, 300 N. Roan St., Johnson City, with Dr. Ronald F. Murray, officiating. Special music will be provided by Dustin Odom, soloist and Ambers Wilson, Jr., pianist. Entombment will follow in Monte Vista Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church. The family requests that in-lieu-of flowers, memorials be made in the interest of Pulmonary Fibrosis to the American Lung Association, One Vantage Way, STE C120, Nashville, TN 37228.
