Mathella Nell Mosley, 76, Johnson City, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, following complications of Pneumonia. Mrs. Mosley was a native of Butler, and had been a resident of Johnson City for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Russell and Bonnie Dixon Andrews. Mrs. Mosley was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, and especially loved the Lord. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mosley was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Andrews and infant Bobby Andrews, and two grandsons, Preston and Dominic Jones. She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Carl W. Mosley, of the home; her daughter, Stephanie Jones and husband Joey, Elizabethton; her sister, Carol Dugger and husband Jerry, Jacksonville, FL; brother Johnny Andrews and wife Patricia, Aiken, SC; grandson, Zachary Mosley, of the home; granddaughter, Katlyne Jones, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" and "much love" to the physicians, nurses and staff of the I.C.U. of the Johnson City Medical Center for their excellent care for Mrs. Mosley. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at 8:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Rev. David L. Vanoy, officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 6:00-8:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home. The graveside committal service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M., in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those planning to attend are to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 A.M. to proceed to the cemetery.
