We are so very sorry for your loss. We pray that "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus" as you deal with the intense grief that comes with losing your loved one. (Phillipians 4:6, 7) The Bible assures us that God "is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." (Psalm 34:18) We look forward with you to the time when we will be able to welcome our loved ones back! (John 5:28, 29)

What a woman! Two great memories of Martha: I worked at Johnson City Medical Center and remember when Martha worked in Admitting. When the opening for a librarian at the JCMC Library came available, Martha applied and did not get the job because she did not have her Masters degree. Martha did no let that deter her in the least. She told me she informed her family that she would not be as available as before because she was going to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville to obtain her Masters in Library Science and proceeded to do just that! Driving back and forth to Knoxville until misssion accomplished! The job became open once again and Martha got it! On another note, I was once passing by the Library and darted in and asked to use Marthas phone so I could call the radio station to place an ad on the radio for the sale of my pop-up camper. I didn't get to use the phone because Martha informed me she was buying it!!! She came to our house, looked at it, and wrote a check on the spot. I asked if her husband needed to see it first. She said no, but asked if we would bring it to her house. We did and she asked my husband and I to open it up in the front yard and we did. I asked if she had told her husband she was buying it. No, she said, but he will know about it in the morning when he gets home!!! As I recall, Marthas husband never went with her to camp, but her daughter did and they greatly enjoyed their trips with the camper. Marthas life is a role model for all independent, strong-willed women who know what they want and go after it!! Hooray for Martha!!!!
