Margie Louise France

Margie Louise France, age 75, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband, on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Johnson City, TN, following a brief illness with her family by her side. A lifelong native, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Linda Park Stinnett. She was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church and was a lifelong homemaker. Mrs. France was a wonderful cook. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She always made people feel loved and welcomed. In addition to her parents, Mrs. France was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James "Jim" France in September 2016; grandson, Daniel France, Jr.; three siblings, Kathleen McKinney, Kenneth Stinnett, and Gene Stinnett. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, James France, Jr., and wife Robian, Danny France and wife Bonnie all of Johnson City, Terry France and wife Bobbi, Elizabethton; seven grandchildren, Megan, Stephanie, Candice, Amanda, Steve, Kami, and Cody France; fourteen great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Pansy Stewart, Lucille Goodman, Charles Stinnett, Carolyn Stinnett, Gail Sims, and David Stinnett; two sisters-in-law, Gisele France and Sharon Hartman. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mrs. France will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Don Page and Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home. The family would also like to invite any loved ones to stop by Mrs. Frances home at anytime. The graveside service for Mrs. France will be conducted at1:45 P.M. Thursday at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. to travel together to the cemetery.
