Margaret Kathleen Harvey

Margaret Kathleen “Kat” Harvey, 79, Johnson City, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the Center on Aging and Health, Erwin. Kat was a Unicoi native and a daughter of the late Hunter and Mammie Woodby Garland. She retired from Texas Instruments/Siemens where she worked in manufacturing and assembly. Kat was a member of Cherokee Church of Christ. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Willis Harvey, who was the love of her life, in 2009, a daughter-in-law, Joy Harvey, who she thought of as her own, several brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tracy Harvey and wife Angie, Travis Harvey and wife Leisa, Johnny Harvey and fiancé Teresa Powers; grandchildren, John and Lauren Harvey; sisters, Virginia Garland, Betty Raby, Wanda Miller, Gladys Osborne, Carolyn Garland; several nieces and nephews. Due to the current standards set by the CDC, the family will have a private visitation, funeral and committal service. We would ask that you keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time.
