Linda Sue Boone

Linda Sue Boone, 61, Johnson City, died unexpectedly Monday, April 15, 2019, at her residence, following a brief illness.Linda was a native of Pontiac, MI, was happy to call Johnson City home, and had been a resident here since 1995.She was the daughter of the late Bruce and Mary Ellen Lockwood Hefner.Linda was a graduate of Spring Arbor College with an undergraduate degree in Education, a graduate of East Tennessee State University with an undergraduate degree in Business, a graduate of Columbia Southern University with a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and was working on her second Masters Degree at the time of her death. She attended Emmanuel Christian Seminary for three years and volunteered her time as a Chaplain.Linda was a member of First Christian Church, where she served as a greeter. Mommy loved Jesus with all of her heart, Mommy is in Heaven.She is survived by her husband of thirty-three years, Gerald “Jerry” Boone; two daughters, Amanda and Allison Boone, of the home; two brothers, Steve Hefner (Glenda), and Mike Hefner (Jandle), all of Union Lake, MI.Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 7:00 P.M., at First Christian Church, Johnson City.Memories and condolences may be shared at www.appfh.net.Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Johnson City, is serving the Boone family.
