Lillian Coyne Byerly, 96, of Deltona, Florida passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022.Lillian was born in Minooka, PA to the late John Francis and Bridget Loretta Coyne. She married Stan Byerly on January 10th, 1948 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Lillian and her late husband, Stan, moved to Johnson City, Tennessee in 1979. Lillian lived in Johnson City until 2018, when she moved to Deltona, Florida, to be near family and warmer weather.Lillian was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #622, Johnson City, and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW of Johnson City.In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by: her husband, Stan Byerly; one sister, Mary Imes; and three brothers Jack, Paul, and Patrick Coyne; and her great granddaughter, Kaylee Anna Copeland.Survivors include: three sons, Michael Byerly of Johnson City, TN, Douglas Byerly of Lakeland, FL, David Byerly and his wife Brenda, of Deltona, FL; eight grandchildren, Michaela Byerly, Adam Byerly, Brian Byerly, Renee Byerly, Heather Byerly, Mark Huff, Chris Huff, and Amanda Byerly; eleven great grandchildren, Elijah, Adriana, Mitchell, Melody, Mandy, Connor, Kayla, Seth, Trinity, Natalie and Raegan; one sister, Elizabeth Phillipi of Macedonia, Ohio; special niece’s and nephew, Colleen Jeffers, Beth Imes, and Jim Phillippi.Lots of appreciation to the staff and friends at Sterling Court Retirement Home in Deltona, Florida.The family of Lillian Byerly will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 800 E. Watauga Ave. Johnson City, TN 37601. A celebration of life will follow at the funeral home with Pastor Steven L. Harmon, officiating. Interment will follow at a later time in Mountain Home National Cemetery, Johnson City, TN.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
