Kevin Gouge

Kevin D. Gouge, age 61, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 in Jacksonville, Florida.  A native of Johnson City, Kevin was the son of Earl and Betty Gouge.Kevin was a graduate of Science Hill High School, where he was the pitcher on the 1974 baseball team, and received “Most Valuable Player” honors that year.Kevin was employed by the National Linen Service, where he excelled in sales and became plant manager for several years.  Kevin enjoyed watching baseball, football, and fishing.In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by a daughter, Hannah, Jacksonville Beach, Florida; sister, Kim Minutolo and husband Joe, Maryville, TN; two brothers, Jerry Gouge and wife Misty, Knoxville, TN and Andy Gouge and wife Beth, Johnson City.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.The funeral service for Kevin will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, April  4, 2018 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 5, at Monte Vista Memorial Park.  Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M.
