Kathy Kent, 59, Gray, died Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Johnson City Medical Center, unexpectedly following a brief illness. Kathy was born in Perry, GA, grew up in Bristol, and has been a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities. She was the daughter of Shirley Wilson Taylor, Bristol, and the late Billy Taylor. In addition to her mother, Kathy is survived by her husband, David W. Kent; her son, Travis Belcher, Bristol; her daughter, Tonya Belcher Fields and husband Mark, Duffield, VA; step-daughter, Season Kent (Kier) Lehman, Los Angeles; brother, Jerry Taylor, Bristol; grandson, Devin Belcher, Bristol; niece, Faith M. Taylor, Gray; nephew, Justin Taylor, Bristol. The family would like to give a very special thank you to Kathy’s dear friend James Russell for his continued support and love throughout her lifetime. The graveside funeral service for Kathy will be held Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1:00 P.M., at the Mountain Home National Cemetery Annex. Those planning to attend are to meet at the funeral home Monday by 12:30 P.M. to proceed to the cemetery.Read Obituary

I'm so glad that you were there to share with me the greatest day of my life, when I married your beautiful daughter and became a part of the family.
