John "Mike" Michael Gentry

John "Mike" Gentry John Michael "Mike" Gentry, age 60 passed away September 7, 2016 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA. Mike lived most of his life in Tennessee. Mike was the son of Verna Lee Fenner Gentry who passed away in December of 2000. Mike is survived by his brother Gary Gentry, Johnson City, Tennessee and a sister Elaine Cannon of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Mike served his country in the United States Army in Germany. Mike never met a stranger and was friendly with everyone he met. Mike will be missed by his brother especially to talk sports. Graveside services for Mike will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at 10:45 A.M. at Mountain Home National Cemetery, with military honors accorded by Boone Dam VFW Post # 4933.
