John Wesley Hall, 59, Johnson City, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at the Johnson City Medical Center, following a brief illness. John was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City, and a Science Hill High School graduate. Following graduation, he served his country in the United States Navy, then the U.S. Navy Reserves. John worked at Mapes Piano String Company, Elizabethton, where he was a Wire Drawing Operator, manufacturing Guitar strings. John is survived by his mother, Doris Anne Akers Beaton, Johnson City; two aunts, one uncle, several cousins. The graveside funeral service will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, at 1:00 P.M., in the Annex of Mountain Home National Cemetery, with Pastor Dan Foster, officiating. Special music will be provided by Tom Foster. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy Reserves. Those planning to attend are to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 P.M. Friday, and will be required by the V.A. Cemetery to wear a mask or protective face covering, and practice social distancing.
