Jane Lewis, 89, Johnson City, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 9, 2022, at her residence. Jane was born in Chattanooga to the late Lee and Stella Eldge Warren. Jane was a member of Johnson City Alliance Church. She attended and taught many bible studies. Jane was kind very kind and generous. She loved the Lord and is now with him. In addition to her parents Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Frank Homer Lewis, Jr.; brother, Melvin Warren. Survivors include daughters, Stella Dragovich, Jan McIver and husband Gene; grandchildren, Janey Dragovich, Lorah Dragovich, David McIver, Sarah McIver, Nathan McIver; great-grandchildren, Myeka and August McIver; sister, Judy Taylor; niece, Nancy Willimans and husband Roy; nephew, Melvin Warren and wife Ann; special cousin, Wilburn Ricketts. The graveside service for Jane will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 SR-153 Hixson, TN 37343 with Rev. Larry Vaughn, officiating. My family and I were honored to know Jane and her sweet family. Her legacy of love and caring live on, especially in her dear granddaughters Lorah and Janey. Genuine kindness, humility, and true Christian values can be difficult to find these days and Jane exemplified these characteristics as did her entire family. My deepest condolences to and constant prayers for Stella, Lorah, and Janey. We love you and are so sorry for your enormous loss.
Jane was always smiling and loving. Everytime we saw each other at church she made sure to talk to me. I looked forward to seeing her and her loving ways. I wish I had spent more time with Jane, this is a major regret even though I will see her again. Jane was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and friend! I miss her! Jane I'm sending a big hug to you! I know your watching over Stella, Lorah, Janey and all your family. You could see the Love shine from your eyes when you talked about your family. We will all miss Jane's sweet smile and loving spirit. She was a great woman of faith and an encourager to all around her. Our deep condolences to Stella, Janey, and Lorah, as well as Jan's family. Jane was such a sweet lady and a very dear friend of mine. She always had a smile and a hug for me. When I think of Jane I think of someone who was very caring about others. You would ask her how she was and she would immediately turn it to how was I. She was always one of the first people to call and say she was bringing a meal after I had been in the hospital. She always remembered me in prayer. I know she is in heaven and enjoying the presence of Jesus and her dear husband Frank. I love you Jane and thank you for showing the love of Jesus to me so many times. I will miss you but I know where you are and I will see you again!
Janey was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She loved my sons very much and never failed to ask about them and express her love. I will miss her very much.
