JImmy Dale Sheets

Jimmy Dale Sheets, 67, Jonesborough, died Sunday, June 7, 2015, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home, following a lengthy illness. Jimmy was a Greeneville native and had been a Washington County resident for most of his life. He was a son of the late Chelsia Hugh and Ruby Gay Norton Sheets. Jimmy was a Vietnam War Army veteran. He was a Trainer and Investigator for the Dawn of Hope, Johnson City. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, playing golf, NASCAR, and woodworking, especially building birdhouses. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Sheets, Jr., and a grandson. Jimmy is survived by his fiancé, Tina M. Linton, of the home; daughter, Susan Sheets, Greeneville; two grandsons; two brothers; and Tina's family, who he considered his own. The graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at 11:30 A.M., in Mountain Home National Cemetery, with military honors being accorded by the Boone Dam VFW Post #4933 and members of the Tennessee Army National Guard.
