George Wayne Cretsinger

George Wayne Cretsinger, age 76, of Johnson City, passed away on December 4, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Dimple Cretsinger and two brothers Buford (Spunk) Cretsinger and Donald Cretsinger and one sister, Linda Cretsinger. Mr. Crestsinger was a member of Brookmead Church of Christ, Johnson City Survivors include three sisters, Marjorie Norman, Adrienne Hampton, and Melba Moore, and one brother, Gary Cretsinger. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Cretsinger will be conducted at 7:00 P. M. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Mr. Jason Leber, Minister, officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 10:45 A.M. Thursday, December 10 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam V.F.W. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:30 A.M. Thursday. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
