Elizabeth “Ibby” Anderson Webb, 97, 700 Judith Dr., formerly of 616 West Locust St., passed away at The Waters of Johnson City on Thursday, April 25, 2019 after a short illness.Ibby was a daughter of the late John and Rennie White Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. Ibby was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, W.T. “Tom” Webb in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Tommy and Robin Webb and her daughter, Kitty Vance Gregory and grandsons, Chris and Tim Vance and Ryan Webb.Ibby is survived by her son Johnny Webb (Denise), two daughters, Nancy Bowman (Chuck) and Amy Woods (Mike), daughter-in-law, Laurie Webb, eight grandchildren, Vicky Vance, Chip Bowman, Kevin Bowman, Jonathan Webb, Sarah Webb Hackney, Lesley Woods Duffy, Nikki Woods and Alex Webb, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.The graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in Monte Vista Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Mrs Webb, a truly great and loving person. I have known the Webb's since 1963. Everyone that entered their house got a big smile and a hug. She was my second Mother. Mr and Mrs Webb raised a fantastic family. She is now in Heaven, reuniting with family members. She will be dearly missed. I have a smile on my face thinking about my Mother and Mrs Webb in Heaven talking about Locust Street and the great years we were neighbors!
My mother and Ibby were friends way back in the day. Momma lived with the Andersons for a while and was the victim of a prank by Mr. Anderson on her wedding day. Momma always appreciated the hospitality of the Andersons and loved Ibby very much.

We moved to the "Tree Streets" in 1967 and Amy and I became friends immediately. I have so many warm memories of good times spent with Amy, The Andersons and Mr. and Mrs. Webb! Loved, loved, LOVED Sunday dinners shared around the table in the Kitchen......

Amy, so sorry to hear of your mom passing. I remember my mom and your mother and daddy good friends. Virginia Garrison Powell was my mother. I think Tom was our insurance agent, but don’t quote me on that. Your in my prayers.

Where do I begin?Our moms were friends in high school and beyond. All of the kids kinda shared homes throughout childhood and I have so many memories it would be hard to pick a few as favorites. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
I remember many childhood days at the big house on the corner with Nancy and others. Mrs. Webb was always welcoming to us kids.... it was a safe place to be. It was a kinder world then.... good memories. My deepest and sincere sympathy to all her family for your loss.
