Earlene Harvey Boring Schwartz, 93, Johnson City, died unexpectedly Friday, December 6, 2019, at Life Care Center of Gray, following a brief illness. Earlene was a native and lifelong Washington County resident. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Earl and Daisy Mae Walters Harvey. Earlene retired from Texas Instruments in 1992, where she worked fifteen years as a machine operator. She was a longtime member of Union Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Earlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Boring, Jr., in 1983, her second husband, Larry R. Schwartz, in 2009, a sister, Valdine Baker, a step-daughter, Laren Schwartz, a nephew, Harvey Lynn Evans, and a great-nephew, Charles Daniel Rose. She is survived by three step-children, Larry R. Schwartz, II, and wife Vickie, Bozeman, MT, Charles David Schwartz and wife Daphne, Nashville, Kathy McCorkle and husband Fred, Gray; one step-grandson, Larry R. Schwartz, III, and wife Rhianna, Bozeman; one step-great-grandson, Larry R. Schwartz, IV, Bozeman; one sister, Oveda Evans, Johnson City; two nieces, Robin Rose, Sandy Evans and husband Roger Garland, all of Jonesborough. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 9, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Palma Bennett, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow in Union Christian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends Monday prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral Home.
