Curtis Lee Preston

Curtis L. Preston, age 69, of Johnson City passed away Saturday, January 2, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Wheelwright, Kentucky, but was raised in Crab Orchard, WV. The family moved to Johnson City, TN in 2000. Mr. Preston was a US Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. He worked at Giants Food Market. Mr. Preston is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Preston; mother, Dorothy Fitzpatrick Martin; step-father, Cecil Martin; brother, Clyde Preston. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Preston, Johnson City; two daughters, Rosa-Lee Preston, Manassas, VA, Dorothy Cornett, and husband, Cody, Telford, TN; 3 brothers, Jim Preston and Jack Preston, both of Florida, Barry Martin, Beckley, WV; three grandchildren, Tiara Edmister, Manassas, VA, Cheyanne and Odin Cornett, Telford, TN. The graveside service and internment will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors presented by VFW, Boone Dam Post. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 2:20 P.M. Wednesday.
