Carolyn Sell, age 77, of Johnson City, TN, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital following a lengthy illness.  A native of Johnson City, Boones Creek Community, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Algerine Keefauver Range.  Mrs. Sell was a member of Harrison Christian Church, Johnson City.    She received her Bachelors and Masters degree from East Tennessee State University.  Mrs. Sell worked with her husband at Sell Meat Company for several years.  She also was a substitute teacher for the Johnson City School Systems for many years.  She loved her church, and volunteered at Harrison Christian Church as secretary.  Mrs. Sell was a big Elvis fan and her favorite things were her grandchildren, the beach, and her children.Survivors include her husband, Jim Sell, Johnson City; two sons, Jim Sell, II, and wife Kim, Joe Sell and fiancé, Alina Beys, all of Piney Flats; daughter, Rebecca Sell and friend Dick Shafter, Black Mountain, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Katie Sell, Knoxville, TN, and Emily Sell, Piney Flats, TN; one sister, Joyce Larimer, Sulpher Springs, TN.The graveside service and interment for Mrs. Sell will be conducted at 2:00 P.M.  on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Monte Vista Memorial Park with Mr. Gary Perkins and Mr. Brad Perkins officiating.   Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.  Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 P.M. Sunday.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Harrison Christian Church, 2517 Browns Mill Road, Johnson City, TN  37604, or Knob Creek Church of the Brethren, 2591 Knob Creek Road, Johnson City, TN  37604.

I am so saddened to hear of the death of Carolyn. She and I were classmates at Boones Creek High School. Our prayers are with Jim and her family in the coming days and the future. Psalm 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."........Love in Christ. Jack Ramey
