Brenda Gillette Chase, 64, born September 4, 1955 left her earthly home at Lakebridge Healthcare on October 22, 2019 after an extended illness. Brenda was a unique person who lived her life “her way.” Brenda loved to fish, Nascar, children and cats. She was known to family, friends, and neighbors as “The Crazy Cat Lady”. Brenda firmly believed that you become wiser with age, must make life changes and resolve personal family issues. She is proceeded in death by her parents Hobart G. and Barbara Ealey Gillette. Along with her parents; brothers, Roger, Freddie, Charles and Gerald Gillette; sister Beverly Gillette. Survivors include her brothers; Rocky and Gary Gillette, sisters; Janie Walker and Becky Altman. We love you and will miss you, Janie, Garry, Rocky, and Becky. It was Brenda’s wish to be cremated with no formal services. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice, Lakebridge, and Appalachian Family Care for the wonderful care she received during her illness.Read Obituary

Janie, i want you to know how sorry i am about Brenda, I loved her dearly. You & I met quite a few times when we would gather @ the smoke rm thru Brenda. Brenda was 1 of a kind & I will miss her so much. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten.
