Beverly Bay Gillette

Beverly "Bay" Gillette, 56, Johnson City, died Thursday, January 14, 2016, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Beverly was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late Hobart and Barbara Ealey Gillette. Beverly was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved to fish and enjoyed playing computer games. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by four brothers, Roger, Freddie, Charles and Gerald Gillette. She is survived by a very special granddaughter, Jessica Johnson, with whom she made her home; three children, Barbara Taylor and husband Mark, Elizabethton, Angel Bamman and husband Thomas, Jr., Clarksville, and Tony Johnson and wife Jessica, Johnson City; three brothers, Garry Gillette, Johnson City, Rocky Gillette and wife Brenda, Jonesborough, and a special brother, Terry Fagan, Johnson City; three sisters, Janie Walker and husband Frosty, Jonesborough, Brenda Chase, Johnson City, Becky Altman and husband Thomas, Johnson City; additional grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Jacob and Jackson Taylor, Elizabethton, Alicia Bamman, Clarksville, Melanie Berry, Elizabethton, McKinna and Makayla Johnson, Glade Springs, VA; several nieces and nephews. The memorial service for Beverly will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016, at 6:00 P.M., at Eastern Gate Freewill Baptist Church, 25 Veterans Way, Johnson City, TN 37604, with Rev. David Morgan, officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 4:30- 6:00 P.M. at the church.
