Anna Larimer Dean

Anna J. Larimer Dean, 87, Camden, WV, formerly of Jonesborough, died Saturday, March 2, 2024, at her residence, following a brief illness.Anna was a native of the Boones Creek community of Washington County, and a daughter of the late Christopher Columbus Larimer and Sarah Marie Feathers Larimer Milne.She was a graduate of Boones Creek High School.Anna was a former resident of Norton, OH, where she retired as the Food Service Manager from Norton City Schools after twenty-five years of service.She was a former resident of Jonesborough until moving to be with her son in West Virginia six years ago.Anna was a member of First Baptist Church, Barberton, OH, then Boone Trail Baptist Church, Jonesborough, then First Baptist Church, Weston, WV. She was a devout Christian, and enjoyed cooking and mingling with her friends.In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Dean, in 2003, a son, Ronald E. Dean, her sister, Peggy Hensley, and her brothers, Harry and Robert Larimer.She is survived by a son, Sam Dean (Tresa), Camden, WV; special sister-in-law and best friend, Phyllis Larimer, Gray; three grandchildren, Zachary Dean, Gray, Todd James (Brandi), Buckhannon, WV, Kari Hull (Mary), Clarksburg, WV; nine great-grandchildren, Shyanna, Katarah, Brody, Gavin, Kenzie, Kale, Haleigh, Reese, and Judd; several nieces and nephews.The funeral service for Anna will be conducted Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at 1:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Pastor Estel Williams, officiating.The graveside committal service will follow in Sugar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Butler. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.Those who prefer to make donations in-lieu-of flowers may do so to the American Stroke Association at www.stroke.org.Read Obituary
