Angelina Renee Ford-Lewis

Angelina Renee Ford Lewis, 41, of Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Angelina was a spent most of her life in Carter County and was a member of Harmony Freewill Baptist Church in Hampton. She worked for Danny Herman Trucking for several years. Angelina loved driving a semi-truck and mustangs; she was a member of the Northeast Tennessee Mustang Club. Her and her husband Randy loved to drag race together. She always had a special place in her heart for her kids. She was a loving mother. Angelina was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Charles and Veola Gass; and her father, Greg Winters. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Randy Lewis Jr.; children, Dakota Lewis, Brianna Jones, and Mikayla Poche; granddaughter, Sierra Renee Jones; brothers, Allen and Joseph Gass; along with three nieces. Angelina’s final wish was to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church with Brandon Young, officiating. The Lewis family would like to extend a special thank you to Avalon Hospice and Angelina’s nurse Brook. In lieu of flowers, the Lewis family has requested that donations be made in Angelina’s memory to Harmony Freewill Baptist Church, 3405 Gap Creek Rd. Hampton, TN 37658.Read Obituary

With a heavy heart, I want to personally express my sincere condolences to Mrs. Renee's family. Sadly, I never got the opportunity to meet Renee in person but, through Mrs. Vicki in payroll, I was very fortunate to hear what an amazing and caring person she was as she battled her diagnosis. I felt compelled to share her story of strength and positivity with my team, at EFS, which left all of us truly touched & moved.

On behalf of the entire EFS family, I'd like to say how sorry we are to hear this news. Prayers for her and her whole family in this time of grief. Our thoughts extend to her work family at Danny Herman who I know loved her too. Renee will be very much missed by all of us.

Renee was a beautiful person inside and out. She was so encouraging to many people even with the pain she was experiencing with her health and earthly body. She held true to her faith right to the end and just wanted to make sure that her family, whom she loved dearly, was taken care of after her time on earth was done. Renee truly loved her Lord and Savior and witnessed to so many and shared her faith and beliefs right up to the end. Renee was a part of our trucking family. Renee you are loved, you will be missed but someday I know we will see you again. Until then, my sister in Christ -- fly high. You are missed......
