Wilhelm Schreier, age 85, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Lakebridge Healthcare following a brief illness. He was a native of Bunderspublic Deutchland, Federal Republic of Germany. Mr. Schreier spent his early years working in the Black Forest in Germany before moving to the United States in the 1960’s. Being a distinguished chef, he had a job waiting for him as a Pastry Chef at the Westin Hotel in Los Angeles, California. He had the distinction of making tea cakes at the direct request of First Lady Nancy Reagan. After 30 years of employment in Los Angeles, he retired to Johnson City.
He is preceded in death by his friend, Harrison Allen.
Survivors include his special friends, Dr. Jay Allen and Ted Hughes, both of Johnson City.
It was the wish of Mr. Schreier to be cremated.
