Lucille Harrison Adkins went to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 1, 2018.
She graced Neut and Parlee Harrison with her birth June 24, 1931, to join 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Her only surviving sister is Mrs. Elloree Chestnut of Johnson City, TN.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was preceded in death by the love of her life Robert “Bob” Adkins March 22, 2011. The two of them were inseparable and love traveling, farming, puzzling, and working together side by side until his heavenly departure.
Lucille was immensely talented. She loved cooking and baking. Friends, relatives, and acquaintances enjoyed getting treated with her cakes, candy, cookies, and other numerous dishes.
Lucille’s creativity was endless-growing beautiful flowers, gardening, detailed quilting, crafting, needle point, crocheting, cross stitching, embroidering, decorating, sewing and anything else her curiosity hit upon.
Even though Lucille was quite active, Eastman Company was fortunate to have her as a devoted employee for thirty-four years.
Lucille and Bob attended Gray United Methodist Church and were involved in many activities. She leaves countless precious memories and smiles to all those close to her.
Lucille was blessed to have had loving caretakers- Jean, Louise, Delores, Vanessa, Carol and Karen. Thank you for superior love and comfort to her.
Services to celebrate her life will be Sunday, November 4, 2018. Family and friends are welcomed from 12:30-2:00 P.M. Service will begin at 2:00 with interment to follow at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
