Charlene Renee Miller Browder, 53, Johnson City, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at her residence, following a lengthy illness.
Charlene was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a daughter of the late Arlie Lee Miller, Sr. and Sylvia Arnold Miller.
She was a graduate of Science Hill High School and formerly worked as a laundry aid at Four Oaks Healthcare Center.
Charlene was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church and loved animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Hurt, and a brother, Arlie Miller, Jr.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Walter Browder; two children, Ashley Clark Dauss and fiancé Robert Baker, Bristol, Charles Miller, Jonesborough; eight grandchildren, Jace Baker, Ryder Baker, Charles Miller, Jr., Renee Miller, Mikayla Lee Miller, Michael Rose, Alysa Rose and Austin Tester; three brothers, Kenneth Miller and wife Donna, Gray, Tommy Lee Miller, Johnson City, Ronnie Lee Miller and wife Kathy, Jonesborough; two sisters, Hattie Ann Tapp, Johnson City, and Rosie Clark, Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews, and her dogs, Sadie & Skinny.
The funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at 2:00 P.M., from the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, with Kenneth Miller and Tommy Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow in Snyder’s Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
